Our professional guides provide charter fishing for Chinook, Salmon, Tuna, Halibut, Sturgeon, and Steelhead, in the Pacific Ocean, Winchester Bay, and the Umpqua River.
Salmon
2009 Salmon season is the best news yet! This season we have a 110,000 fish allotment and the preliminary reports from the commerical crabbing fleet indicate that they have spotted a huge amount of bait offshore and the Coho are starting to show up early.
This is great news for opening day on June 20th, with the new bag limit of 3 fish per day. We will be running 4 charter boats this season with all the best Salmon fishing rod and reels and tackle.
Our Coho Salmon season is from June 20th through the end of September, or until the quota is reached. Don't miss out on this one! 2009 charter fee is $125.00 per angler for a 5 hr trip.
For the 2009 season our anglers can add ocean crabbing to their Coho Salmon trip for a cost of $25.00 per angler. This will increase the trip to 6 hrs.
Tuna
We have a very exciting Albacore Tuna season planned for our customers at the Albacore capital of the world off the coast of Oregon. We will be sending out three tuna charter boats daily. The charters will be using plugs and hand lines, and rod and reel combos. All of our Tuna charters are equipped with state of the art tuna gear. Our boats travel at a fast 30 to 40 knots to get you to the fishing grounds fast.
Our Tuna season is from June thru September 2009. Charter Fee $240.00 per angler for a 10 hr trip.
Halibut
Pacific Halibut off the coast of Oregon is a extraordinary fishing experience, and has become a very popular event from May through September.
Our customers enjoy the adventure fishing in 300ft to 450ft of water with the best fishing rod and reels on the coast. See if you can find that 100 pound plus trophy!
Our Halibut season is from May through September 2009. Charter fee is $210.00 per angler for 10 hr trip.
Sturgeon
We are very happy this season to offfer to our valued customers the services of one of the most experienced fishing guides on the Umpqua River, Captain Curt Thompson, with 30 years of quality fishing experience.
Curt has covered nearly every square mile of this unique and scenic river. Our season is March through September 2009. Charter fee for a half day trip is $125.00 per angler, or a full day trip for $175.00 per angler.
Chinook
There is no planned ocean season for Chinook Salmon this year. Maybe in 2010.
Steelhead
Steelhead season is during the winter, from late October through February.
Pink Fin Perch
Pink Fin Perch fishing in the Umpqua River has grown in popularity in the past years. This is a great trip for family groups. Kids will have the best fishing adventure with big smiles on their faces as these fish fight pound-for-pound like tuna and your rod is bent over the side of the boat.
Our Pink Fin Perch season runs from June 1st through July 15th. We will run 4 boats. Book early. The 2009 charter fee is $100.00 per angler.
Ling Cod
Lingcod and other ground fish for us at Winchester bay is all but closed. Our reef is over 40 fathoms to the south. It will not open until October 1st of 2009 and closes March 31st 2010. 2009 charter fee is $150.00 per angler.
